Over the past few months I have become part of an intriguing business model. Eddie Obeng of Pentacle Virtual
Business School gathered a number of international professionals around him and organised a series of monthly webinars, given
by each of them, on the topic of innovation. Using the internet presentation tools, the speaker presents from his own
location to a worldwide audience gathered at offices in the network (in casu France, South-Africa, Germany, Scotland,
The Netherlands and England). For each of the participating speakers this is an opportunity to invite potential clients and
show the expertise of the network.
Originally suffering a little from technology problems, it has now become a well groomed way of sharing
experience across geographical limitations. The presentations are usually short (30 min) and are supposed to be followed by
discussion at a local level between the invited audience. During the last one however questions from the various locations
kept popping up, a clear indication that the audience, inspite of the remoteness over the Internet link, had been fully
engaged. For the speakers it is a case of action learning!
Mail me if you want to be invited in The Netherlands.
